How We Craft Our Signature Truffles
When you bite into a McCormick Bakery & Chocolate Factory truffle, you aren't just tasting chocolate—you are experiencing a labor of love. We believe that truly exceptional chocolate cannot be rushed, and that the secret ingredient to our rich, melt-in-your-mouth confections is pure passion.
For us, creating the perfect truffle is a meticulous four-day process. It is a journey of patience, precision, and a deep respect for our ingredients.
Pure, Clean, and Direct Before the process even begins, it starts with our sourcing. We are incredibly proud to use only clean ingredients sourced directly from farmers. We know the exact quantity of every single ingredient that goes into our truffles, and we absolutely never use artificial preservatives. It’s just pure, honest flavor.
Here is a behind-the-scenes look at how each truffle comes to life:
Day 1: The Foundation Great things take time. On the first day, we carefully craft our signature ganache recipe. Once the rich, velvety mixture is perfectly blended, we let it sit and rest for a full 24 hours to allow the flavors to deepen and mature.
Day 2: Precision and Care Every single truffle is given individual attention. On the second day, we hand-weigh the rested ganache to the exact gram to ensure perfect consistency. Then, each truffle is carefully rolled and rounded by hand.
Day 3: The Perfect Shell Day three is all about the snap. We enrobe our hand-rolled centers in beautifully tempered chocolate. Once they are perfectly coated, they must rest for another 24 hours to allow the chocolate to set and develop its pristine structure.
Day 4: The Finishing Touch On the final day, each truffle is packed by hand into a color-specific foil wrapper. Not only does this protect the chocolate and keep its beautiful shine intact, but the vibrant foil colors turn each box into a perfect, elegant gift.
To complete the experience, the truffles are gently placed into our signature boxes, tied with a beautiful ribbon and bow, and prepared for you.
From the farm to our kitchen, and finally to your hands, our four-day process ensures that every truffle is a masterpiece. We can't wait for you to taste the passion in every bite.
